Q: How is a factory Manufactured Building Built?
A structural steel chassis moves along the factory line to be framed ,roofed ,clad , lined and then fitted off.
Ready to be loaded onto a truck which delivers the unit/s to your location to be installed on steel stumps , then complexed and its yours.
Q: Can you build more than one at a time?
Our factory is set up to build many units at the same time – having areas allocated for each style of building we do
Q: How do we start?
Contact us so we can assist you with your new plan and once we have some site details and council local council requirement information we can provide you with a quote delivered and set-up. We enter a Master Builders Contract and we begin.
Q: How Long Does it take?
It depends on the council approvals , however usually 6-8 week from the ‘all clear’ ( home size, site Preparation and client selections and climatic conditions for delivery can slightly affect this timing)
Q: Can I have a steel Frame?
Yes it is possible to have a steel frame or treated frame – we can quote for it once we have an idea of the plan and the destined location.
Q: Can I buy just the frame?
Q: Does the prices on the list include delivery?
No , we need to be aware of all relevant site information,local regulations and your proposed plan.
Q: What does it cost for delivery?
We calculate the size of the building (eaves count in the size) and how many sections.
As well as the distance the unit has to travel and the conditions of the location and come up with a figure . This is advised to you at the beginning.
Q: Can you help me with council?
Yes we assist you in the application to council. We do require that you provide us with all information that is required for your council area?
Q: Does the pricelist include the council fees?
No, as we manufacture Resort cabins , 1-2 bedroom homes, 3-4 bedroom Homes, Relatives Accommodations Units and Commercial Buildings it is not possible to include the fees into each one as they are all different departments.
Q: Can I design my own unit?
Yes , and our Design department will ensure it is possible to split the unit/s successfully for transport.
Q: Are Manufacture Homes as strong as than Standard Homes?
These buildings are built to the same standard as all housing –if not a higher standard. Manufactured homes are a lightweight structure as are most of the Sustainable Homes constructed in these days of Green Living. The stringent footings right through to the frame and tie-downs are enforced by the authorities making it very difficult for the building to go anywhere?
Q: Are Eastcoast Homes and Park cabins units Energy Efficient?
Yes, but it depends on you. We are aware of the requirement for Sustainable Housing . However , the products and fittings that are chosen by clients and are used to acquire certain outcomes are not always energy efficient.
Q: Do you have any displays?
No we find the diversity of our products make it impossible to have a display to suit everyone – we have a large range of plans –plenty of photos and and at times can show you units being manufactured . Strictly by appointment only.
Q: Do I need a building permit to have one of your buildings?
It is the clients responsibility to find out the requirements of their local area.
